If you’ve ever walked into a poker room you’ve surely noticed the very peculiar sound that you will hear at virtually all poker card games on the planet – it’s a rattling sound that makes me think about crickets. When you come closer to one of the poker tables you will be able to see where the sound comes from. It’s made by poker chips that the players are riffling. It doesn’t matter if you play tournament poker or cash games – most poker players spend hours at the table and a lot of time is just spent waiting. In order to have something to do in the mean time, they play with the poker chips.

The most basic chip trick is the riffle where you use one hand to stack two stacks of chips together as one. But in almost any card room you will also see players doing really spectacular tricks, which is usually the sign of a skilled and experienced poker player. Well, spending hundreds of hours with poker chips in your hand, you’re bound to learn something, right?

If you want to look like a pro the next time you sit down at a poker table there are many sites online where you can learn chip tricks.
